So if your conductor asks you to sound a tuning note concert Bb, you would need to play a C on your Bb clarinet. In orchestra, to sound the concert tuning pitch A, you would need to play B on your Bb clarinet. Hope this helps clear up the mystery a bit. Author: EBC Date: 2012-06-12 02:57 This may be slightly off-topic, but I used Buffet-Crampon's search function to find my clarinets by serial number, and while my B flat is listed, my A is not.Otherwise, the most common end bore width on mouthpieces for German or Reform Boehm system clarinets seems still to be 15.0 mm.
