Kawasaki stx 12f problems - Messing with the 2003 12F stx and got it running after a change of fuel and spark plugs. Just how warm is the exhaust supposed to be/get to? Hot enough you cant touch it? I ran it for 30 minutes today ran ok but still would stall sometimes when I let off the throttle.

That being said, $5500 is pretty high. someone can probably pick the ski up new, out the door with a trailer for 7k. and 15F's w/ the same hours are going for 5500-6000. Listen and see if you hear it actuate about 4 seconds after the engine shuts down. If you don't hear a ratcheting/buzzing kinda noise then it's bad. Expensive but an easy fix.. P.S.- Make sure you order a spare rubber O-ring as well. 2006 Kawasaki stx 12f. Ski has a total of 58 hours on it, one day it started smoking just out of nowhere not steam, smoke. So changed plugs checked oil level made sure everything was good and the ski drove fine. Then all the sudden started smoking again. Thought maybe had over filled it with oil so drained it. If it's not then your in tank fuel pump contacts are corroded or the pump is bad. Re: STX 12F won't start You can pull off the fuel hose from the fuel injection rail and see if it is pumping gas. Have a cup or something there to pump into incase it is working. If it's not then your in tank fuel pump contacts are corroded or the pump is bad. My 12F at 590 hours had this and it was the contacts that needed cleaning.2006 Kawasaki stx 12f.
