Healing times, I've been told by a ukapp piercer that around 3-4 months for lobe piercings to be switched out at home, however something must be worn at all times for at least the 1st year to prevent the holes shrinking or closing.Septum's normally heal faster but changing it out too early can cause irritation to your nose. I've nicked my septum before in the early stages of healing and the irritation and swelling does not go away for awhile. As for changing the jewelry out, the longer you leave the piercing to heal, the easier it is to change it out.same boat. depending on how close your third lobes are to the cartilage-y part of your ear, they'll heal more like cartilage piercings. if you feel as though the angle is off, see a shop other than the place that pierced you for a second opinion.
