Beginning January 1, 2024, the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) has changed the degree requirement for dietitian registration eligibility from a Bachelor's degree to a Master's degree (in any field) in addition to the current requirement of a verification statement from an ACEND accredited dietetics program. The taught academic part of the course contains six modules at Level 7 (Masters). In addition, students study professional body modules (Level 5) in order to fulfil the requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Dietetic Association curriculum guidelines. These include Psychology and Sociology.Note that after January 1, 2024, a Master's degree will be required to write the CDR registration examination for dietitians.
